From Daniel Radcliffe to Darren Criss, let’s welcome Nick Jonas as J. Pierrepont Finch in the crowd-pleasing revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Daniel actually did a pretty good job in the role when I saw the show on Broadway several months back. He was charming and respectful of stagecraft, not banking on his celebrity to get by but actually giving professionals a run for their money. Now, how about the Brotherhood of Men number? Who knew that Harry Potter could dance that well?
Now let’s see how this Jonas brother will do. I wasn’t so fond of his performance as Marius in the Les Miserables 25th Anniversary concert, maybe because he’s a pop-rock singer and the role called for a more classical Michael Ball-sounding voice. But maybe this role would suit him more. Let’s see.
